Q:What are essential oils?
A: Essential oils are highly concentrated, aromatic compounds extracted from various plant parts from the leaves, needles, stems, flowers, bark or roots of particular aromatic plants.
They’re mainly produced by methods of solvent extraction, steam or water distillation, or cold pressing.
Essential oils contain volatile compounds, give plants their unmistakable aromas and it is in these essences that we find the powerful – even seemingly magical – healing properties.
Q: How to use essential oils?
A: 1. Diffusion: You can diffuse essential oil with a diffuser or with diffuser bracelets. Add 5 drops of essential oil to 100ml water or apply 1-2 drops onto diffuser bracelets.
2. Massage: You can mix essential oils that you like, dilute with carrier oils with ratio 1% - 3% and massage onto your skin or face for a super comfortable treatment.
3. Bath: You can add 8-10 drops of essential oils of your choice to a full bathtub of water. This is a simple way to integrate the benefits of essential oils into your daily routine and wear off the stress during the day.
Q: Can your essential oils be used internally?
A: No, we do not recommend internal use.
Using essential oils aromatically, topically, and other external methods will provide the best and safest results, but ingesting essential oils internally actually will provide neither the most effective nor the safest health benefits.
No matter who tells you otherwise, essential oils are best used aromatically and through other external methods only, and not internally.
WHY NOT?
- Essential oils are just too concentrated for ingestion.
- Essential oils can potentially damage our internal organs.
- Taking essential oils internally is one of the least efficient methods of application.
Therefore, for your safe and effective use, we recommend that you use Essential Oils externally only.
Q: Can your essential oils be used topically?
A: Yes, our essential oils can be used topically, but they must first be diluted with one of our carrier oils. Lavender and Tea tree oils, for example, are commonly accepted as safe for “neat” application but we recommend doing a test on a small patch of skin prior to use to rule out any sensitivity with each essential oil.
Q: Is it safe to use your essential oils during pregnancy?
A: Educating yourself on using essential oils during pregnancy can be difficult, as there isn’t a lot of information available on the subject. Pregnant and nursing mothers do not want to offer themselves, nor their children up for research in this area. We do not recommend using essential oils during pregnancy or nursing.
Q: Can your essential oils be used on babies safely?
A: No. We do not recommend using our essential oils on babies or children below the age of 3.
Q: From where are your essential oils sourced?
A: Our raw materials come from various parts of the world. For more specific information on each of our currently available 37 essential oils.
Q: Can your essential oils really provide health benefits?
A: Yes, of course they can provide health benefits – both physically and mentally or spiritually.
Q: What is a carrier oil or base oil?
A: Carrier oil, also known as base oil or vegetable oil, is used to dilute essential oils and absolutes before they are applied to the skin in massage and aromatherapy. They are so named because they carry the essential oil onto the skin. Carrier oils do not contain a concentrated aroma, unlike essential oils, though some, such as olive, have a mild distinctive smell. Neither do they evaporate like essential oils, which are more volatile.
Q: How do I use each specific essential oil for the greatest health benefits?
A: There are just more ways in which we can use our essential oils to give us health benefits than we can describe in just a few sentences. How to use section in product page will give you reasonably good guidance.
